This week at Granada Day School, our campus was filled with meaningful moments as we celebrated the mothers and mother figures in our community.
Throughout the week, classrooms welcomed families for special Mother’s Day celebrations that gave students the opportunity to honor the women who care for, support, and encourage them each day. From songs and crafts to shared smiles and time together, each celebration reflected the joy and gratitude felt throughout our school.
For our students, these moments were more than simple classroom activities. They were opportunities to express love, appreciation, and thankfulness in ways that were personal and heartfelt. It was special to see the excitement on students’ faces as they prepared gifts, shared performances, and welcomed their families into the classroom environment that is part of their daily life.
At Granada Day School, we value the partnership between school and home. Celebrations like these remind us how important family involvement is during the early childhood years. When children see their parents engaged and present in their school experience, it strengthens their sense of security, confidence, and connection.
We are deeply grateful for the mothers, grandmothers, and mother figures who are part of our GDS community. Your love, sacrifice, encouragement, and faith shape the lives of your children in lasting ways.
