About this course

Course Features
Typical Day
A typical day consists of arrival activities, whole-group and small-group instruction, learning centers, Bible lessons, weekly chapel, music, art, story time, outdoor play, and hands-on learning experiences in literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies. Children participate in a balance of structured learning, exploration, and play throughout the day. Learning experiences are intentionally planned to support each child’s development and align with the Florida Early Learning and Developmental Standards (Birth to Kindergarten).
Enrichment
Learning Environment
Our preschool classrooms provide a safe, welcoming, and organized environment where children feel valued and supported. Classrooms are thoughtfully arranged into clearly defined learning centers, including literacy, mathematics, science, art, dramatic play, blocks, and fine motor activities. Materials are accessible to children, encouraging independence, decision-making, and active participation in learning.
To foster a sense of belonging and community, classrooms incorporate a Family Tree, Star Student activities, and All About Me projects that help children share about themselves and their families. The classroom layout is designed to promote exploration, positive social interactions, and a smooth flow between learning centers and activities throughout the day.
Building a Strong Foundation
Granada Day School is committed to helping children develop the academic, social-emotional, physical, and spiritual skills needed for future success. Through daily learning experiences, Biblical teaching, and character development, children build confidence, independence, responsibility, and a love of learning. Our goal is to prepare children for elementary school while helping them understand God’s love and develop the values and skills that will guide them throughout their lives.
God is at the Center
Christian Education
At Granada Day School, we believe each child is uniquely created and deeply loved by God. Christian values and biblical teachings are woven throughout the day through prayer, Bible stories, worship songs, chapel, and daily classroom experiences. Children are encouraged to grow in their understanding of God’s love while developing kindness, compassion, respect, and a strong foundation of faith.
Whole Child Focus:
We focus on the whole child and provide opportunities for him, or her, to develop spiritually, socially, emotionally and physically. Your child is loved and encouraged to work at his or her own level of development.
