At Granada Day School, parent involvement plays an important role in shaping the heart of our community. On Monday, August 25 at 9:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall, we are hosting a Parent Volunteer Meeting to share how families can take part in serving the school and supporting our students.
Why Volunteer at GDS?
Volunteering is more than just helping with events. It is about being part of something bigger, building connections with other families, and seeing the joy on your child’s face when they know you are part of their school day. Parents often say that serving at GDS allows them to:
- Enjoy fellowship and friendship with other parent volunteers
- Experience the joy of seeing the fruit of their efforts during school events
- Watch children’s excitement when they see their parents helping at school
- Gain a behind-the-scenes look at how our school operates and thrives

What to Expect at the Meeting
During the Parent Volunteer Meeting, families will:
- Learn about the different volunteer opportunities available
- Get clear information about each role and its responsibilities
- Hear how parents help bring events like the gala and school shows to life
- Discover how volunteering reflects the values of service and community that make GDS special
Serving with Purpose
At GDS, we believe service is more than a task. It is a way to live out our faith together. Jesus worked alongside His disciples, showing the importance of serving as a team. In the same way, volunteering at school helps us reflect Christ, strengthen relationships, and support the mission of spreading the gospel through joyful learning and community life.
Join Us
We are grateful for every parent who gives their time and energy to make our school stronger. By serving, you are helping create meaningful experiences for children and families.
Mark your calendars for Monday, August 25 at 9:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall, and come ready to learn more about how you can be part of the GDS volunteer team. Together, we can make this school year one filled with growth, joy, and fellowship.
