A Space Adventure to Remember
Leap Ahead Summer Camp | Week 2 Highlights
This past week at Leap Ahead Summer Camp truly was out of this world. Our little astronauts suited up for Space Week, diving into the wonder of God’s universe and using their imaginations to explore far beyond what they could see.
Journey to the Moon… Without Leaving Campus
The highlight of the week was an unforgettable space adventure, right here at school. With the help of our special guest, Mr. Higor, the children stepped into a creative and immersive βspace missionβ experience.
Their day began at the Granada βSpace Center,β filled with excitement and wide eyes. After entering a glowing tunnel that led to the launch pad, they boarded a pretend spacecraft designed just for them. Lights dimmed, the countdown began, and soon they were off β soaring into space through story, sound, and imagination.
Storytelling, Prayer, and Wonder
Mid-journey, their pilot read a space-themed story, guiding them through the galaxies. Then came an unexpected twist β a meteor shower was on its way. Without hesitation, the children joined hands and prayed together for a safe landing.
It was a beautiful moment of courage and faith, reminding us how naturally our little ones turn to God when faced with the unknown.
Touching Down on the Moon
When the βwindowsβ opened, they saw it: planet Earth, glowing from above. Their joy and amazement were contagious. Moments later, their spacecraft landed, and the children stepped onto the βmoon.β They explored craters, collected moon rocks, and soaked in every second of their mission.
This experience wasn’t just pretend. It was a hands-on reminder of how learning, creativity, and faith come together in powerful ways.

Building Summer Memories That Last
We are so grateful for these moments with your children β moments where they grow in wonder, confidence, and community. Thank you for letting us be a part of their summer.
We canβt wait to see where next week takes us!
With joy,
