Leap Ahead Summer Camp – Wild Wild West
What a fun first week we had! Campers arrived with big smiles, ready for adventure, and we jumped right into all things Wild Wild West. From the moment they walked through the doors, it felt like summer had truly begun.

Monday was full of sweet reunions, new friendships, and a whole lot of energy. The playground was buzzing. If your child came home talking about it, you’re not alone. It’s a clear favorite. Campers also had a great time getting into the theme with Western crafts and dress-up fun.
Tuesday was our first chapel of the summer. We learned the story of David and Goliath and talked about how God helps us face big things, even when we feel small. It was a simple and encouraging reminder that God is always with us, and the campers really took it to heart.

Wednesday brought Water Day, and it did not disappoint. Splash zones, water play, and our brand-new slip and slide made it one of the most exciting moments of the week. The joy and laughter said it all. This day was definitely a highlight.
On Thursday, we welcomed Challenge Island Miami for our first in-house field trip. Campers got creative with themed crafts, decorated their very own Western vests, and even learned some fun dance moves. It was a full day of movement, imagination, and a whole lot of smiles.

We wrapped up the week on Friday with a hilarious puppet show that had everyone laughing. And of course, we ended on a sweet note with a special camp treat. Our homemade Western Trail Mix was a hit. It had cocoa puffs, marshmallows, honeycomb cereal, graham cracker teddy bears, and lots of love. Don’t be surprised if your child asks to make it at home.
But the best part of all was hearing from the campers themselves:
“The red playground is the bestest playground ever!” – Pre-K3 Camper
“The new slip and slide was my favorite thing in the whole camp!” – Pre-K3 Camper
“The puppets were sooo funny! I want them to come back!” – Pre-K4 Camper
We’re so glad to have our amazing campers here and can’t wait for more memories in the weeks ahead. What a joyful beginning to a summer full of faith, fun, and friendship.
