Dedicated Teaching Staff:
We believe that the strength of our program is in the dedication of our teaching staff. Our highly certified staff views education as a partnership between parents and teachers. We believe it is essential to develop a good rapport with each child and parent based on open communication and mutual respect. Granada Day School is the perfect place for your precious child to grow, learn, discover, and be loved.
At Granada Day school our teachers and staff are committed Christians trained in early childhood education. Teachers are certified or are working toward certification in early childhood AS degrees, four year degrees in education or related fields. The staff is required to obtain 45 hours Department of Children and Families (formerly HRS) certification. Teachers and staff must also maintain at least 20 hours of additional instruction annually.
Our Commitment: “Quality Counts”
We participate in Quality Counts, Miami-Dade County’s quality rating system designed and funded by The Children’s Trust in partnership with the Early Learning Coalition of Miami-Dade/Monroe and The Early Childhood Initiative Foundation/Ready Schools Miami. We are passionately committed to creating high-quality experiences and environments for our children, and providing them with a solid foundation to achieve lifelong success in school and life.
Granada Day School (GDS) is accredited by the Christian Schools of Florida (CSF) and by the National Council for Private School Accreditation (NCPSA). These accrediting agencies are highly recognized and authorized by the state Department of Education. Granada Day School is subject to renewal of accreditation every five years, and our faculty is required to complete a self-study for each renewal. GDS is a Quality Counts provider.
