Tennis
Schoolyard Tennis Coaches are certified PTR/USPTA tennis professionals with many years of coaching experience. Their expertise is working with children ages 3-10 using the USTA’s “QuickStart” method- low compression tennis balls, junior tennis racquets, and mini tennis nets- all sized to fit the size of the child. Skills to be developed through Schoolyard Tennis classes:
- Hand-eye coordination -Racquet technique
- Footwork
- Reaction Speed
- Teamwork

Granada Stage Angels
Ballet by JM Dance Center We instill the fundamentals necessary for growth, discipline, and self-confidence. Stretching, breathing, and dance movements are performed in every class. We encourage imagination, musicality, improvisation, and graceful movements through dance.
Ballet is one of the most complete exercises for children and adults involving emotional, physical, and psychological benefits. It is highly recommended by physicians to treat pes planus and improve/correct posture. The art of Ballet plays a key component in developing body language, hearing and memory. Additionally, ballet helps improve socialization skills by building personal confidence and therefore reducing stress levels and diminishing anxiety
Shooting Stars Athletic Department
This will be a fun Physical Education class focusing on gross motor, fine motor skills and learning movement and coordination through games and play. Mrs. Ada Vidal has been part of Granda for two years.
Art Club
Carolina Blanco is a Miami-based artist with a Master in Painting from Accademia di Belle Arti in the city of Terni in Italy. In addition to holding a Professional Certification in Drawing and Painting from the Accademia Italiana in Florence, Italy. She has been making art since childhood. Her visual art includes mixed media collages, acrylic paintings, and watercolors. Her paintings have been exhibited and are in private collections in several countries.
Having a special passion for teaching, she has been an Art for the last eight years. Children need art to become flexible creative thinkers. With this in mind, she founded The Artsy Hippo whose mission is to provide high-quality after-school art enrichment programs and camps at different schools in the Miami Area. She has been offering her successful programs at Granada Day School since 2016.
